The Peoples Bank of Portland was opened in 1908 as a community bank in south Arkansas built on foundation of service and community. In 2001 Peoples Bank of Portland was bought by locally owned Peoples Home Holdings and underwent a name change to HomeBank of Arkansas. In doing so, spreading the same dedication to community and service to the central Arkansas area. The bank has branches from the top of the state in Marshall to the bottom of the state in Portland.
